I wish they'd shown us a real conversation between them (like the one Georgina interrupted) explaining why Dan did everything and how it was for Serena, the ending would've maybe seemed less forced then.

Today is April 2, 2024, the day of the Battle of Hogwarts and I just watched Deathly Hallows Part 2 and remembered how wonderful this saga is and how I miss it. Seeing Alan Rickman acting so wonderfully made me miss him, Snape was and always will be my favorite character and with the best story of redemption.

I really think that writers destroy Dan's character, because of course he had some judgment on the elite but he showed some changes. For me it was a whim to portrait him as an only realistic literature writer for the drama it generated. The things he writes in the last season were a big red flag for Serena , but i just think it was a cause of destroying his character since season 4 and so on. Those things make me see his as an evil man who deserves to be alone , but for the reasons that i explained earlier i am a Dan and Serena relationship supporter, they were two souls bonding together and the destiny (Jenny , Georgina, Vanessa) was stopping them

I love Ian Somerhalder & think he is a terrific actor that has unfortunately for us retired 😢. I have only seen clips of this show out of order so I am lost on most plots, however, I do NOT know how Ian made it so long portraying such an insane type of character. He must’ve been exhausted by the time the series ended. No wonder he retired though! As for being a rapist, of course I completely see that from a human perspective through which we all see it. But, if we are to believe in & invest in the idea of vampires, then we have to accept that these actions are carried on through stories as “typical” vampire behavior. The same rules are not going to fit for essentially two distinct creatures. They do not all have consciences. 🧛🏻‍♀️

Whenever Serena and Dan were together i found myself always rooting for them. Theres something sweet about your first love that you dont forget. Thats the vibe i got from them. I know Dan said he loved Vanessa initially but i didnt chemistry w Vanessa and Dan at all. I was so happy Dan and Serena ended up together bc theie personailties complemented each other.

They were so perfect in ss1 so I always wanted them to be endgame. Just wish that the writer couldve executed their love story a bit better, at least like blair and chuck’s (no matter who they dated, every part of them still loved each other). Dan and serena had so many unnecessary relationships, Ben, Aaron, Carter, Vanessa, Olivia so their chemistry naturally faded as each season went by. Also not a big fan of Serenate, Nate’s feelings changed every 3 episodes🙄

Serena wanted to be good girl so much that she loved idea of good boy loving her. She might potentially have genuine feelings for Dan but she never explored them because she was occupied with idea of being “good”, which isn’t her nature. She should have found someone alike her and let herself be.
